How To Arrange a Cremation after a Death Has Occurred

A Simple, Affordable Cremation


If the passing occurs at home and your loved one is under Hospice care:

Contact the Hospice. A Hospice Nurse will respond to your home and make the pronouncement of death. Ask the Nurse to contact All California Cremation at 800.575.0551. If after hours, our answering service will answer and connect you to a funeral director or staff member. Our transportation personnel will be dispatched to the home immediately, regardless of the time of day or day of the week.


If the passing occurs at the Hospital, Hospice, Nursing Home or Assisted Living Center:

The Nurse or Physician will come to the room and make the pronouncement of death. Ask the Nurse to contact All California Cremation at 800.575.0551. Our transportation staff will be dispatched immediately to take your loved one into our care, regardless of the time of day or day of the week. Some hospitals require a signed release form before a funeral home can come out. We will, of course confirm that we are authorized before sending our transportation personnel to the a hospital. Once that has been confirmed, our transportation personnel will be dispatched to the hospital immediately.


If the passing occurs at home and your loved one is not in Hospice Care:

Contact the Police or the County Coroner. They will respond to the home and make the pronouncement of death. If the Coroner or Medical Examiner decides not to perform an investigation into the passing, simply ask the deputy to call All California Cremation at 800.575.0551. Our transportation personnel will be dispatched to the home immediately, regardless of the time of day or day of the week. If the Coroner or Medical Examiner decides to perform an investigation into the passing, they will take your loved on into their care. If your loved one has been taken to the Coroner or Medical Examiner's office:

Simply contact us at 800.575.0551. We will help you complete the arrangements and contact the Coroner or Medical Examiner to take your loved one into our care. If the Coroner or Medical Examiner has not yet completed their investigation into the passing, we will call them every day until the examination is completed. At that time, our transportation personnel will be dispatched to the Coroner or Medical Examiner's office.


Here's what you can expect:

 

  •   Transportation from the place of passing to our nearest location.
  •   Caring for your loved one prior to cremation.
  •   Filing for the death certificate and necessary California Disposition Permit with the health department.
  •   Coordinating with the county medical examiner/coroner if required.
  •   Any and all support your family requires from our licensed funeral directors and arrangement counselors.
  •   A cremation container made of approved material, in which the body is placed for cremation.
  •   An individual, dignified cremation.
  •   Releasing your loved one's remains back into your family's care.
  •   Cremation will take place generally within 3 days after receiving the California Disposition Permit.
